Long Island’s Most Haunted: A Ghost Hunter’s Guide
by Joseph Flammer & Diane Hill

It’s quite difficult to appreciate the history of Long Island when so much of it is buried under
malls, roads and post-war neighborhoods. But this island does indeed have a past – and so much
more than any archeology dig could ever reveal. Ghosts inhabited and, in some cases, still
inhabit old homes, buildings and cemeteries on the island.
This ghostly guidebook includes directions to each well-investigated site, supported by
historical facts, interesting anecdotes, and direct observations. Plenty of photographs and
illustrations add to the compelling text, which draws you into these mysteries.
To be sure, there are many opinions about apparitions and spirits, but in reality this is a
subject area we know so little about. Flammer and Hill decided to fill in some of the proverbial
“blanks” in our knowledge about ghosts, by bravely investigating and documenting paranormal
phenomena right in our very backyard–and they did a very, very good job. Learn more at www.

The Ghosts of Sweet Hollow Road.
