Orbs: Ghostly or Not?
The debate: are obrs paranormal phenomena or
reflections of dust particles, pollen, rain drops,
and other easily explainable phenomena?
One school of thought about orbs
is that they are spirits gathering
energy from the environment in
an effort to manifest as
full-fledged apparitions.
Above is an enlargement of the orb in the picture
to the right. It has been enhanced to make it
lighter and the contrast was increased to better
see the face.
Orbs in the woods at the county park
on Sweet Hollow Road. It was drizzling
the day the ghost hunters visited the
woods, so the orbs could be, and
probably are, reflections off rain drops.
Just such a picture can thrust folks into
debate for and against orbs. For
example, the photo was shot at a
haunted place, but it was raining that
day.  Sometimes ghost hunters are too
quick to say that caught spiritual orbs.
Sceptics are sometimes too quick to say
the orbs are a product of light bouncing
off dust or rain drops.
