Sagamore Hill
Sagamore Hill
Sagamore Hill is a National
Historic Site. It was the
summer home of Theodore
(Teddy) Roosevelt and his
family. The Roosevelts
occupied the house from 1885,
through the years Teddy served
as the 26th president of the
Untied States, until his death in
1919. He died in an upstairs
bedroom. So did his wife,
Edith..The house is furnished as
it was when the Roosevelts
resided there.
There are many stories of
lights moving around the
house at night, and many
people have seen or
photographed faces peering
our from the upstairs
bedrooms when no one
was in them. The laughter
of ghostly children is also
commonly heard.
